August Sneaks by! Yikes!

Every August sneaks by before I even realized it. In fact every month passes by before I even enjoyed it. Panic sets in and I scrambled to cram whatever and however many stuff I want to do, create and experience.

I couldn't sleep one of the nights coz it was so hot even with the air-con on. I guess my body has been deprived of rest and does not recognize it anymore and it is showing rejection towards soft bed, pillows and comforter. Even the giant bear doesn't recognize me. :(  Feeling oddly active, I got up, went through my drawers of stuff and made myself a bracelet. I'm not sure why I picked purple again, I think its a phase...or maybe because I was thinking about mangosteen; speaking of which I have not sinked my teeth into any one of these purplish fruit with a snowy white juicy plump flesh yet.

Sitting by the window with the morning sun peaking through the curtains, I thought of a recent visitor. A lady of 77 with decent looking physique despite her age and a very kind smile. Sipping the cup of coffee in my hand, I thought of a portrait of an aged shanghainese lady I once saw; cool, calm, collected & full of grace. I was very much motivated to create a piece that would reflect her oriental essences.

Made to appear as time-honoured, this unembellished classic is simply a must have.
